What is Certificate of Conformance (COC)

Home » EQMS » Quality Tools Overview » What is Certificate of Conformance (COC)

COC is short for Certificate of Conformance, but also goes under the names of Certificate of Compliance and Certificate of Conformance.
The Certificate of Conformance (COC) is sometimes mixed up with Certificate of Analysis (COA) which is a different thing.

What Does Certificate of Conformance Include

The COC is different to COA in terms of what it covers. Where COA contains physical measurements of the parts or material delivered, COC goes in and covers the process and company.
It basically is a promise that the gods and services provided was done in compliance with certain laws and regulations specified, for example safety, environmental etc.
It can also include that something was now present during the process like certain contaminating materials, child labour and so forth.
